Oxfam Trailwalker Brisbane I was asked to join the Offroad Chinwaggers No1 team after one of their teammates broke their ankle whilst on a trail run about 3 weeks before the Oxfam Trailwalker Brisbane event on the 19th of June 2014. Judy the Chinwaggers Leader, a local Audlery physiotherapist called me up after chatting to my mate Trail Running Mandy-Lee Noble suggested that I joined one of her teams.
Oxfam Trailwalker Sydney 2012 toward the Finish. I emerged from the Port-a-loo’s feeling better but a bit shaky. My support crew gave a a 2 minute count down to get my gear together including my head torch and with in 2 minutes we took off as a group and I started to struggle. Brendan Davies joined the support crew at Davidson Reserve help out and to encourage us and I think this really spurred Andy on. Andy suddenly remembered how fast he could run. Oxfam Trailwalker Sydney 2012 is a team event first and foremost. To win the event you need an amazing team that is willing to work together through everyones strengths and weaknesses…… This story started way back in December when I emailed Brendan Davies about the possibility of forming a strong female No Roads Team for Oxfam 2012. No Roads Expeditions already had a cracking male team, there was no way I’d be able to keep up with the likes of Andrew Lee, Ben Artup, Brendan Davies, Mike Donges.
